Amanda Coldridge is a contemporary ceramic artist based in the Cotswolds. Her practice is rooted in close observation of the natural world, where seasonal change, lunar cycles and the quiet transformation of geological time find expression through sculptural ceramics. Beauty and joy, for both the maker and beholder, are integral to her ethos.
“My ceramic pieces are physically formed from clay, but emotionally shaped by memory, sensation, and lived experience.
Each piece seeks to capture an essence — a moment observed or felt — becoming a quiet record of time’s passage and the layers of history that move with us through daily life.”
“It is always a privilege to watch real artisans at work, so it was wonderful to glimpse inside the studio of Amanda Coldridge to see her working …”(2024).
